Universal, scalable and powerful
Our control technology is the platform designed for the powerful automation of machines and includes both motion control and PLC functionality. It supports all inverters of SEW-EURODRIVE, regardless of whether the task involves simple positioning, technology functions such as electronic cams, or multi-axis interpolation for robots. Optimized communication with the connected inverters takes place automatically in the background. Engineering for the complete machine is performed centrally in the MOVITOOLS® MotionStudio.

Controlling motion: Free programming of applications with the MOVI-PLC® motion controller
The MOVI-PLC® motion controller is used for complex automation tasks. As the software is freely programmable, you can implement flexible drive solutions for a variety of applications. Users can employ function blocks or program modules, depending on the task. In this way users can access all the drive functions. Programming is made easy as it complies with the IEC 61131 standard.
NEW: Controlling motion – Configuring appolications with CCU
The Configurable Control Unit (CCU) offers standardized single or multi-axis application modules, which provide their module functionality to a higher-level controller via fieldbus interface or digital inputs and outputs. Configuring the application modules on the machine is really simple: a PC program with a wizard queries all the relevant data. In this way error sources are minimized significantly, and startup can be carried out quickly. Using a special control mode, startup can even be carried out without higher-level PLC.

- Cam positioning
- Bus positioning
- Universal module (speed, positioning, modulo, remaining distance)
- Energy-efficient storage and retrieval unit: a special algorithm allows for saving up to 20 % of energy without regeneration
- SyncCrane: simple control of crane bridges and lifters. A special algorithm enables time and jerk optimized travel even with distance encoders
